Who Cyn is
Cyn was a maid drone thrown out by her owners and rescued by Tessa, with a habit of saying her actions out loud: “giggle”, “neck snap”. The Absolute Solver had already grown inside her. At the Elliott Manor gala it took over, killed the guests, and rebuilt N, V and J into disassembly drones to finish the rest of humanity.
From there the Solver moved planet to planet through drones that carried it, eating each one's core, until Nori and Yeva stopped it on Copper 9. So Cyn came herself. She killed Tessa, grafted her body on, and arrived at the end of The Promening as the human who would help.
What happens to Cyn
Manga spoilers, through the last chapter.
In Mass Destruction N cuts off “Tessa’s” head and she reattaches it, which is how everyone learns who she is. She eats Doll's heart and drags Uzi and N into the planet's core.
In Absolute End Uzi resists her possession, rips out her heart and swallows the Solver's core. Cyn's half of the hybrid melts into oil and blood. What is left of her lives in Uzi's tail, harmless, and pesters her.

- Is Tessa actually Cyn?
- Yes. The real Tessa died before the show. The Tessa who arrives on Copper 9 is Cyn with Tessa's corpse grafted over her body, revealed when N cuts off her head in Mass Destruction.
- Does Cyn die?
- Mostly. Uzi destroys her heart and swallows the Solver's core in the finale, and her body melts. A trace of her stays alive in Uzi's tail.
- What did Cyn do to Earth?
- She ended it. After the gala massacre she turned the manor's drones into disassembly drones and sent them after humanity, then spread the Solver to the human colonies and ate their cores one by one.
- Why does Cyn say what she is doing out loud?
- It is her tic from the start, before the Solver fully took her: she narrates emotions and actions like stage directions. It is the show's tell that something in her is not quite a person.
