a kpu pen‑ink risograph illustration of a small smurf character standing beneath a red mushroom, rendered with dense cross‑hatching, fine stippling and confident linework, overprinted with a misregistered fluorescent orange spot color that glows from the highlights. the paper shows textured riso print grain and slight roller‑ink unevenness, giving an archival zine feel. the scene retains the simple line, vibrant color palette and franco‑belgian kids’ comic visual language, while the risograph layer adds contemporary atmospheric depth.

kpu_sumi-e risograph style featuring traditional japanese ink wash painting with bold black brushstrokes, flowing organic lines, generous white space, splattered ink and dry‑brush texture, all rendered in confident hand‑drawn sumi‑e technique; overlaid with a single risograph spot color in fluorescent pink, teal or yellow, misregistered slightly off the black linework to create a visible offset; halftone dot patterns fill select negative spaces left by the ink, while the characteristic paper texture of a riso print is evident throughout the composition; the overall scene is sparse and balanced, with the ink defining structure and the risograph spot color providing accent, evoking a meditative, contemporary mood that merges ancient brushwork with 1970s japanese zine print aesthetics.
