Who Mahito is
Mahito is the curse of people hating people, and he is new, which is why he is curious. Idle Transfiguration lets him touch a soul and reshape it, and the body has no choice but to follow. He makes monsters out of pedestrians for fun and to see what happens.
He is Yuji's enemy in a way Sukuna is not: personal. He kills Junpei Yoshino, the one friend Yuji made outside the school, and laughs about it.
What happens to Mahito
Manga spoilers, through the last chapter.
In Shibuya he kills Nanami and takes half of Nobara's face. Yuji and Todo beat him nearly to death; Yuji's Black Flashes are the closest a human comes to touching Mahito's soul. Then Kenjaku, in Geto's body, absorbs him with Uzumaki and takes the technique. Mahito is dead at the end of the manga, eaten by his own ally.

- What is Mahito's cursed technique?
- Idle Transfiguration. He touches a soul and changes its shape, and the body follows: he can turn a person into a monster, or a weapon, or himself into anything. Only a hit to the soul hurts him, which is why Yuji's Black Flash matters.
- Does Mahito die in JJK?
- Yes. After Yuji and Todo beat him in Shibuya, Kenjaku absorbs him with Cursed Spirit Manipulation. He is gone by chapter 134.
- Who did Mahito kill?
- Junpei Yoshino, Kento Nanami, and hundreds of people in Shibuya turned into transfigured humans. He also took half of Nobara's face; she survived.
