Who Geto is
Geto was Gojo's equal at Tokyo Jujutsu High, the one person who could stand next to him. His technique, Cursed Spirit Manipulation, lets him capture any curse he beats and command it, and by the end he had thousands, folded into a ball he could swallow.
The Hidden Inventory arc breaks him. He and Gojo fail to protect Riko Amanai, and the crowd that cheers her death teaches Geto to hate the people he was sworn to protect. He kills a village, then his parents, and leaves the school. The plan: a world with only sorcerers in it.
In Jujutsu Kaisen 0 he is the villain. Yuta beats him. Gojo finds him afterward.
What happens to Geto
Manga spoilers, through the last chapter.
Gojo kills Geto at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. His body does not stay buried. Kenjaku, an ancient sorcerer who lives by taking bodies, stitches Geto's forehead and walks around in him for the rest of the story, which is how Gojo gets sealed in Shibuya. Geto himself is dead; it is his body Yuta finally puts down. His curses are all with Kenjaku until Yuta takes them.
